Check Valve

The basic function of a check valve is to prevent the passage of fluid in a reverse direction.

While the direction of the fluid is adequate, the check valve remains open, but when the flow slows down or pressure drops because the water is about to reverse its direction, the check valve tends to close, avoiding the reverse direction of the flow.
